What I Wore : Christmas

Even though I cancelled Christmas this year, it STILL came.

#TheNerve LOL

So I decided to go with the flow and I hit up the thrift store for something plaid to wear.

Well, HALF plaid.

I thought this Shein blazer ($4.70) was pretty interesting.

I paired it with this red turtleneck that I recently bought in four colors from Walmart for $9.99 each. I LOVE THEM!

What you can’t see in this photo is the slit and button details at the wrist.

I dug around through my jewelry and came up with this thrifted necklace from Goodwill ($1.50) that I’ve had forever and never worn. I thought it added just the right touch.

To finish off the look, I actually changed handbags #Shocking and went with this all suede bag ($3.74) .

The details are all on the handle.

Once my outfit was complete, we headed off to my MIL’s place to partake in their Christmas buffet.

Of course, my ALMOST 94 year old MIL brought her fashion A-game!

And yes, she gave MY #OOTD her seal of approval.

Merry Christmas to me!!

P.S. I’ve got another backlog of LEWKS, so…

I’m posting EVERY. DAY. THIS. WEEK.

  1. What a delightful jacket!! Your MIL is looking very impressive in her outfit. She is a great example of keeping oneself fit and active through life. Those sleeveless turtlenecks you purchased from Wal-Mart are a great buy! I visited there several times this holiday season and just recently purchased a cardigan sweater in a burnt orange hue. At the same time, I purchased a pair of slacks in a herringbone design to wear with the cardigan,
but I will use them with several other outfits too. I am so impressed with the detail on the sweater and you are correct on how Wa;-Mart is upping their clothing lines and yet keeping the prices within most shopper’s ranges.

    1. My MIL is such an inspiration! So glad to hear you liked what you purchased from Walmart. The prices and quality are really on point. Can’t wait to see you sporting your new clothes from there!

  2. LOL! I’m going to have to take an extra day off just to keep up with your posts this week! I love that jacket and it looks like it’s well-made, too. You always wonder with Shein and how inexpensive everything is. And I’ve looked at those turtlenecks everytime I’m in Wal-Mart and never tried them on :/ It’s probably too late now because they’re probably all picked over in my size. There was another sweater I loved there, too, and just never took the time to try it on to see if I really liked it. I love that suede bag! And your MIL is just lovely! I hope you have an amazing 2020!

    1. I was surprised at the quality of this piece. I actually thrifted another Shein piece during the summer, that I haven’t worn yet… πŸ™„
I actually buy all my Walmart clothes online. The selection is better.
