Two for One

In my most recent moment of weakness

AKA a trip to Savers

I came across another reversible article of clothing.

TWO actually

and they are both jackets

that only cost me $4.70 each.

I actually wore it two days in a row, styled completely different.

Up first, with bad indoor lighting and my glasses making a rare appearance on the blog, is how I styled it for a girl’s night playing BUNCO.

Although the photo makes my outfit underneath look brown, it’s actually all black.

I wanted to wear something stretchy and comfortable because I knew I would be sitting down all night and munching my way through the game.

I paired it with a suede handbag that I got for $3.74 from Savers and this $9.00 thrifted Chico’s necklace you’ve seen before from the Assistance League of Albuquerque.

If you have one of these thrift stores in your area, you really need to check it out. I find the BEST jewelry there.

The next day, I reversed the jacket and dressed it down for a day out with my son.

I also incorporated some print mixing into the look, thanks to this flannel shirt from Target.

I was definitely more comfortable the night before, with my stretchy pants on, but I like how this look turned out too.

I actually think I would like the reverse side better with this flannel shirt because it has more of the same tones in it.

Look/side one is definitely my favorite side.

Which side of the jacket is YOUR favorite?

  1. Ooohhhh – I love that jacket and both ways you styled it! It’s perfect for a bit of a dressier look for Bunco and it definitely adds a great splash of interest to black top and bottoms. And I just love that necklace! But I really love it with the plaid! I’d never have thought of pairing the two because I’m not overly bold with print mixing (though I’d like to be). I do think it would look great with the jacket turned inside out, too. What a beautiful score for you!

  2. Actually I favored the more casual look. It was perfectly paired with the shirt, jeans, and sneakers. I also like the side of the (jacket) used with the jeans — the best. I am always awed by how you pair items and come off looking as if you spent thousands on your wardrobe. Such a talent you have for this.

  3. I do love the print mixing…SO Much Darlene. That’s so cool to find a reversible piece like this. I need to keep an eye out for something like that.
