Happy Monday! Or is it?
Our house caught fire last week and well, this whole past year has (and continues to be) pretty tough. I totally felt like a black cloud has been hanging over my head, but after talking to a girlfriend, she helped me put things into perspective. She said “You don’t have a black cloud over your head. You have a shining star.” And you know what?! She’s right. The damage from the fire could have been SO much worse. We didn’t get displaced so, I’m very thankful for that.
But enough about me and my problems.
Recently, I headed over to Deseret Industries Thrift Store. I rarely go there because they aren’t that close to my house and they never offer discounts. But I was looking for a change in my thrifting routine so off I went.
Not my usual thrifting uniform, I decided to actually wear some ‘real’ clothes, which meant I had to actually go in the dressing room. UGH!
After trying on a bunch of stuff, here is what came home with me.
Peter Nygard 100% silk blouse $5.00
Sunny Leigh geometric print top $4.00
Tommy Hilfiger skirt $5.00
Can you tell I like prints? lol
I’m happy to report that Deseret Industries has FINALLY jumped on the discount bandwagon (sort of). On my receipt was a one question survey, “How can we make our thrift store better?”
My answer was, you guessed it…
P.S. I get 15% off my next visit as my ‘thank you’ for taking the survey. Now I just need to get back there before it expires at the end of the month. Hahaha
