Caped Crusader

I finally got around to wearing that fabulous vintage suede cape I scored for just $1.00 at an estate sale here in Sun City.

I’m not really sure how I feel about it.

I think the problem with it, at least for me, is the color. I’m not a fan of brown.

Of course, that didn’t stop me from dishing out $6.50 at the ALLV for this Chico’s BROWN turtleneck!

Hahaha

  1. I actually think the cape is just too much for you. I agree that it’s fab – but I think the “scale” of it is taking you over.

(Said with love, of course! 😘)

  2. I personally love it! I think the colors are fabulous on you! (Those are the colors I like to wear and we have the same hair color). I agree it’s a statement piece for sure and a great score. I wonder what it would look like without the collar? Remember Color Me Beautiful? Maybe try a different color next to your face and see if you like it better.

  3. Like Jamie, I agree it overwhelms your figure. But on a tall model paired with a turtleneck TUCKED into a pair of loose wide leg slacks it would be stunning!

You should use that talent of yours to do make-overs now and then.
